Hong Kong - Tropical Cyclone Landfall Synthetic Event Set - Imperial College London

A synthetic event set of tropical cyclones making landfall with a wind speed at Hong Kong of at least 18 m/s. It was created using a stochastic land fall generator run for 720 years which is 10 times the observation record length. The fields in the event set are: N, storm number; Year, simulation year; Longitude and Latitude of storm centre at landfall; Pressure deficit at storm centre at landfall (hPa); Vmax, maximum sustained wind speed (m/s); Rmax, radius of maximum wind speed (km); Precipitation Volume Rate within 500 km (m^3/hr x 10^8).
